Electron microscopy facilities at the Astbury Biostructure laboratory are used by researchers across the University, with specimens including small proteins and protein complexes, viruses, liposomes, cellular organelles and whole cells.

These pages provide information for users of the electron microscopy facility from all departments within the University of Leeds. We have users from across the University, including the Faculties of Biological Sciences, Medicine and Health, and Maths and Physical Sciences.

Here, you can find information on training and booking equipment, and a 'get started' guide for researchers new to the electron microscopy facility.
