NMR Spectrometers Spectrometers All our spectrometers have the same basic configuration with four channels (typically setup as 1H - 13C - 15N - 2H). All the instruments have a Z gradient facility and have inverse triple resonance probes with Z gradients. Each of the spectrometers has two waveform generators (on 1H and 13C) for working with shaped selective pulses. The 600MHz spectrometer has an 8mm probe which take larger tubes (increasing the sample volume by a factor of 2.5 for low solubility samples) as well as probes for the the more usual 5mm tubes. We also have a direct detected broadband probe and a 1 H{ 13 C,X}, X= 15 N- 31 P triple resonance probe for work with labelled nucleic acids. The 750 MHz will be equipped with a PFG HCN cryoprobe in the near future. A mobile 5th channel is available which maybe used with any of the spectrometers. All the spectrometers are equiped with FTS Airjet systems for extra temperature stability and work below room temperature. Exact details of the spectrometers and what is available for them is given below.
