BBSRC Doctoral Training Programme (DTP)
Applications for entry in September/October 2013.
The projects listed under the 'Research Areas' link on the right are available for entry in Sep/Oct 2013. The deadline for applications is 7th January 2013.
Introduction
The programme is focussed on important biological questions within the BBSRC's remit, and will train students in the wide range of techniques in cell biology, biological chemistry and biophysics that are needed to push back the frontiers in these topical areas. Students undertake a full research project selecting from the wide range of topics offered each year by the programme's supervisors (list of projects can be found under Areas of Research ). Students usually devote themselves to their projects for four years, although shorter times may be appropriate for students with a Masters degree in the same area of research after discussion with supervisors. Students receive practical training during their study and gain a deep understanding of modern techniques, their principles and applications through courses and through the Annual Astbury Research Retreat.
